Anglers Country Park Toddler Walk - February 23rd

Posted 23/2/2020

Our second walk this weekend was our quarterly toddler walk at Anglers Country Park, which was a simple two miles lap of the lake. This was followed by a visit to the adventure playground for the children to burn off some excess energy while the adults enjoyed a coffee from the adjacent café.

Anglers Country Park is one of DVWG’s favourite local walk venues with several walks starting there or being around there over the years.

Despite the weather conditions today which are still quite blustery, today’s walk did not disappoint either with a pleasant steady walk for all, punctuated with stops to look at the various sculptures along the Room on The Broom Trail which are quite impressive.

It was a fantastic turnout with a total turnout of twenty eight walkers and one push chaired infant with us too, with several new faces coming along as well as a couple of people we haven’t seen in a while returning to walk with us.

A big hello therefore goes out to Camilla & Eva Kmiciewicz, Lynne & Taylor Wilkinson, Cynthia & Colin Otter, Shakil Hussain and Maya Maltby who all walked with DVWG for the first time today. We hope you all enjoyed your first outing and choose to walk with us again soon.
